Pictures: over the years, many photos have been taken, along the route, around the shops, trains running, repair work being done. These are batches of pictures taken at different times, that will give a small example of what the SR&CL is like. Without coal smoke in the air and turning the hand-brake on a flat car, these will only give you a stand back view of life, working on this railroad.

Note: this website and many photos here, are from past years, some many years past. As such, many early pictures are a lower resolution as that was the standard, back then. Most albums were created before people started using their 3in phone screen to surf the web. As such, older pages are have not been reformatted to be ‘phone friendly’ yet. And most albums are from before the Hosting Server security upgrades in 2024/2025, which gave new folder schemes, thus those links have not yet been revised on the new site yet. in short, most back years are off-line until each folder can be revised, reloaded, and a new link setup to access (hours and months of work ahead).

2026 April 8-12 - some ties were replaced in Phelps and on the Baurton branch. Then some trees along the track were cut up, creating logs for a future revenue train. 2026 April 5-8 - a couple trees had fallen, one across the main going to Woodshill Jct, another at the Wood Shed. These were cut up and cleared. Also, fresh ballast was put in front of the roundhouse doors. And some dirt work on a cut along the main. 2026 February - the railroad was covered with snow, original images 2025 - is coming soon 2024 Overview - a batch of pictures of the railroad, various places 2024 Fall - work on the Stub switch and clearing the track from another down tree 2024 Summer - lots of tie work, more tree to clear plus fixing rail damaged from a tree 2024 June - after some storms, various trees to clear and cut up, plus some track ballast work 2024 Spring - tie replacement work begins, a tree fell on the tracks and dented rails, and work on the Bauerton branch 2023 Dec - Visitors prompted an Extra train. And the air compressor was tested on #7. 2023 Nov - Some track clearing and leaf blowing. And Shay #4 leaves the railroad. 2023 Sep - Another tree fell and damaged the railroad, plus more cuts were cut. 2023 May & Jun - Tie work on the Bauerton Branch, West Yard Limit, Jacks Pit wye. 2023 Apr - Ditching and ballasting, plus replacing ties on Clear Lake turntable and at Maples. 2023 Feb & Mar - Clearing another down tree on the main and plowing snow. 2023 Jan - Ballast work in January, plus fired up #7 and hauled wood with a Mixed train.
