Marek  Mountain  Railroad

The indoor Gn3 model railroad of Frolin Marek in San Antonio, Texas

The layout is built with 3 levels, and a grade in the adjoining room.

The green lines are the logging branch. It starts in Los Pinos, goes up the left, in to a tunnel, has a 4% grade, comes out over the lift bridge, then climbs the mountain side in the middle, going left, then right at the Wye and reaches Lumberton.  Trains turn on the Wye.

The blue lines are the mining branch. It started in Los Pinos and goes thru the Hot Water heater tunnel, around the Master Bedroom on a 3% grade, comes out on the upper level in to Silverado. Engines with some cars proceed to Red Mountain and turns around.

Plans will be redraw with CAD software once the final tracks are laid...

The yellow lines show the Los Pinos Yard trackage, wye and storage.

The orange lines that circle the mid level will be the "dual gauge".

The pink lines go downhill and to the lower level Alamosa staging tracks.

You can connect the levels by following the colored lines and using the letter codes...  A, B, C, D

Note:  these plans were hand drawn over 10-12 years ago.  Then scanned in to a PC, so they are rough.
