South Texas Railroad Socials

The nineth Social was on April 18th, 2020  and was our first  "Virtual Social".  Due to the Coronavirus, we cancelled the regular
Social at the restaurant in March.  To continue socializing, we held our first  'video conference call'  or  Virtual Social,  using the
Zoom platform.  We had 34 people in attendance and a rather successful hour plus Social with 3 micro presentations, Show-n-tell
and near 20 minutes of  open mic  conversation.  Many attended with video feed (we could see faces), some did not, all had fun!

We will continue to have  Virtual Socials  until we can safety gathering at the restaurant - hopefully in September.  And maybe after too.

Our Presentations were keep short for this first Virtual Social.  They included...

New Depot for Ayers Jct  by  Tom C  - a summary about a new depot built in the last two month for a location on his HO layout.

Redheaded Stepchild on the California Zephyr  by  Towne C  - the lone passenger car from the Pennsylvania RR that ran as part of this famous train.

Crawford & Cherokee RR  by  Robert T  - a recap of his research of the area and prototype in Kansas for HO railroad he is building.
