this
is
not

found
on
most
live
steam
railroads.
The
route
is
point

point
with
7000

of
that
5000

with
90
feet
of
elevation
difference
and
three
branch
lines.
The
railroad
hauls
raw
logs,
cut
firewood,
rock
for
ballast
and
some
passenger
traffic,
along
with
building
materials
for
its
own
construction.
Operations
run
year
round,
including
winter
with
plowing snow when needed.
Hello and Welcome
Click ‘Whats New’ at top for recent site updates
Note: this is a new website being built from scratch, in early 2026. Being the 3rd site in over 25 years.
Many new features are in the works, photo slideshows and video albums to create, all will take months.
Many old pages are not linked due to back-end Hosting Server changes. That will be addressed in time.
With many using a phone instead of a PC, this means extra work and more time = longer delays for all.
Jack Ozanich, SR&CL Founder
Jack was a railroad man. A railroad engineer on
the Grand Trunk for over 30 years. He designed
and built the SR&CL on his property. He also had
a nice HO layout. Trains were in his blood.
Sadly, he passed away in May of 2020.
