Visit to Bob & Alma's track on 12/2/2000.

We test ran the loco on the Coon Creek, to check for clearance issues.  A hammer resolved a concrete ramp at the garden gate, but we need a chain-saw for two trees.  When we arrived it was 55 degrees, but when we left it was 45 degrees.  Another reason for riding 'inside' the cab (with a heater unit).

Not many shots of me inside the cab. This was taken

after I cut the cab down 3 inches after hitting a tree.

The temporary body-frame was built to test clearances

on area tracks. A steel frame and body come later.

Loco and my two narrow gauge gondolas.

Comfortable seats are a must, if you plan to ride for hours!

The gons I picked up second-hand (off the net), they ride smooth,

allowing your feet and hands to be 'inside' the car.

The test frame in use. You can lean your head or pull your arm in,

but loco cabs and car bodies can not flex.

A tree leaning over the track. At ground level maybe ok,

but at head level, you lean your head and hit the cab.
