Union Pacific  Big Boy  4018

Left Side - Sep. 19th 2021

Guys,  I have been pushing the boys this week to get the left side of the engine complete. One of the boys was just sitting around and saying that he was done with the plumbing under the cab, when clearly there was so much more to install. I told him that he should have a "no pipe left behind" attitude. I don't think they got it 100 % correct, but it looks good, and according to Lauri Green in Australia, "if it looks good, then it is good". Well, life goes on and I am directing the boys to turn the engine in the shop and finish up the right side next. Turning the engine takes all the boys in the shop to work in unison to get the job done! No easy task. You can bet the boys will be pushed again to get the engine finished up, as this has been over a year since this project was started. Thanks for your time and intrest in the projects of Bogs Locomotive Works.
