Oct. 30,
Saturday: Its leaf time and I got the backpack
blower out and cleaned all the track. The first two pictures are of
when I started. There is a lot of leaves still up on the trees.
It will take another pass or two to get it cleaned.
Oct. 31, Sunday: Doug Fox came over with
his chainsaw and we cut up the tree across the tracks near Clear Lake.
First 3 pictures, 2nd row. On our way back, I had him remove some
small trees near the car barn where the field road crosses the tracks.
With those disposed of, we took out a couple near the East Yard
Limit at Phelps. Next up was a maple at the apex of the cut East
out of Phelps. Last two on 2nd row are the maple.
Nov. 01, Monday: Tom Weaver and Tim
Parker came down to help me do ties from where we left off two weeks
ago toward the driveway. We got about 60 inserted. See last 5
pictures. A new one day record. The main line is now
fairly up to date. The branch lines need a lot of ties next year.
