Since 25 was
down not much outside work was going on while I was in the roundhouse working.
# 25 had a starter failure back in May and it took me a few visits to get
it out and returned to service in June. It had to have the flywheel off
to gain access to the starter bolts and I couldn’t get the shroud off with a
bracket welded on the floor of 25. Our friend Roger made a puller to use
and I got the flywheel off with the shroud and gained the access I needed
for the bolts. The new used starter really works great! It was
worth the work to get the old one out.- Tom
